This is really cute book, and I wish that I had known how about this when mine were younger. I definitely can see how this would have been a million pounds of fun!Since this book is made to entice kids, it is definitely awesome for keeping their attention and helping their brains to grow! There's really no other way to say that, any time do you use something that is interesting to a kid, than the benefits that come from them being interested can be so awesome.
I have definitely never liked when you get a book of fun things to do, and then u have to make a 45 page shopping list in order to be able to do the things that are in the book. In this one, all you pretty much need is items that are around your house, markers, coins, a little bit of string. Does that was definitely made for kids in mind, & I definitely love that.
I would recommend this book for parents you have fun with their little ones, especially on a rainy day. I don't know why, but this reminds me of rainy days.

Very well done and good looking book. I'm not sure what the age group for which this book is intended. I remember when I was maybe 10 years old I hunted for magic tricks I could do, a couple of which are in this book, card tricks mainly. I thought this would be a great book for my young grand kids, something we could go through together. The tricks are displayed by two children, probably pre-teen in cartoon form and the conversation the two have makes this book even more fun. Sometimes the boy will show the girl the trick and sometimes it's the girl showing the boy, and my grand kids, a boy and girl, really got off on this interaction. We haven't gone through all the tricks and illusions yet but we took one trick and worked on it until both (okay all three, me included) got it and felt they could try it out on their parents. We've gone through maybe a third of them but the kids can't wait til Grandpa comes back with his reader and they can learn more. It's a book a kid can hang out with for a while.

This colorful children's book for ages 4-9 starts off with the Golden Rules of performing magic tricks. I am sure the third rule of "practice makes perfect" hits home in all walks of life so why not start this good habit right from the get go? This concept is a wonderful educational tool.
Two little characters...a young boy and girl add to this delightful book by introducing each new trick. The magic "secret" is then demonstrated with several illustrations to teach the young reading audience just how to perform the mysterious act with the magical skill required. I like the additional tips given after each lesson. This provides the young child a better chance of becoming the expert magician that he/she is aspiring to be.
There are a variety of skill levels when it comes to the ease or difficulty of performing each magic trick. The little white rabbit/rabbits do an excellent job of letting the child know which tricks are easier or more difficult to perform. They helpfully sit in a hat at the corner of each page to give the performer an indication of the effort needed to perform each trick. From card tricks, to mind reading, to using the simple tools of a child's own fingers and hands, this interesting book is bound to amuse many an entertainer which may very well include both the younger and older reading audiences. Good stuff!

The description of this product says it is a book which is why I bought it. Actually the product is a box of cards each card having a well developed "trick" and the back of each card shows how to do the trick. The cards a well done and easy to follow. But it is not as advertised.

Great ideas on how to get kids interested by showing them with pictures in slow motion along with written words what they are to do.
I found the pages a bit too cluttered to concentrate on what I was to do.
Comic type pages are very cluttered, hard to find the words.
Lots of encouragement and how to do the tricks so they are easier to do.
This is so cool. The magic tricks are on these awesome cards with drawings of them being performed with tips on how to do the tricks on the back. It is definitely appealing to kids since it comes in this slide out box instead of a typical book form. Although the ages says 4-9, older children and even adults will like these tricks. My sister was trying out a whole bunch of them when the package arrived, and she is in her 20s! I really liked how the tricks were separated by difficulty by the amount of rabbits on it, so we tried all the easy ones first obviously! I think my favorite trick thus far has been the strong man, where you have someone put their fists together and then push them apart, but then you have them try on you and they can't do it. I can't tell the secret to this though! A magician never tells! Would definitely recommend this product.
